Currently serving a second term as Vice President. I moved to our neighborhood in 2006. I am currently enjoying semi-retirement. I recently gave up on my incognito lifestyle because I saw a need to protect the Association, so I volunteered to become a YCHCHPOA Board member. My goal in this position is to be informed and likewise to inform our Association members of neighborhood and Association business (Hence this informative website). I take Fiduciary responsibility very seriously and will uphold my Duty of Care, the Duty of Loyalty, and the Duty to Act Within the Scope of my Authority as Director of YCHCPOA. I'm Married to Tammy, and we have six adult children and thirteen grandchildren. I am a former U.S. Navy Deep Sea Diver and currently own a few businesses. Diving is still my passion, and there is no better place to enjoy the underwater vistas. I look forward to serving on the YCHCHPOA Board of Directors for 2023 and hope I can meet most everyone's expectations.

Ethleene Johnson served as the Treasurer/Secretary in 2022 and we are happy to announce she was re-elected to remain Treasurer/Secretary for 2023. My family left the island when I was a senior at Country Day. While on the mainland, I achieved a masters degree in technology management and a professional certification in project management. I’ve enjoyed working for companies like Honeywell international and excited about my upcoming retirement from Kaiser Permanente this coming December. I dreamt of moving back to the island to build my retirement home for years: I purchased in the neighborhood in September 2020, moved back in January 2021 and broke ground in August 2021. I look forward to living in the neighborhood and serving this community.

What does it mean when a Board Member has a Fiduciary Duty to the Association.
“fiduciary duty.” Black’s Law Dictionary defines fiduciary duty as “when one party must act for another. [Said party is] entrusted with the care of property or funds.”
